Planning a renovation? Here are this year’s most important interior design trends.

12 April 2024

Soon you’ll be picking up your new apartment, and the renovation team is already waiting for the doors to open? Or maybe you feel the need for a slight refreshment of your interiors? Check out the latest trends and furnish your apartment with fashionable touches.

In harmony with nature

Novisa Development has been building in harmony with nature for many years, enveloping its estates with greenery and nature.
This trend is increasingly infiltrating interiors.
Wooden furniture, including vintage pieces that have been in our family for years, are appearing in living rooms and bedrooms.
Linen and cotton curtains are increasingly hung in windows, appreciating their irregular weave and natural creases.
Wood graces homes not only in the form of furniture but also in decorative, grooved wall coverings, cabinet fronts, or doors (as utilized in the Nova Magdalenka 5 estate project on entry doors).
A large number of natural plants in rooms is a trend that has been holding steady for many years and only strengthens in 2024.
Plants can serve not only decorative purposes but also purify the air.

In harmony with nature also means ecologically.
Recently, there has been a stronger emphasis on solutions that protect our planet.
Products from Polish studios, created using existing elements or renewing old ones, are a trend that is increasingly influencing interior architecture.

Subdued colors

In 2024, we are creating an oasis in our homes.
It’s meant to be welcoming, cozy, and soft.
Therefore, the dominant colors in interiors are warm shades of beige and browns, smoky blue, sage green, muted pink, or the Pantone Institute’s color of the year – peach fuzz, which is a warm pastel peach.
Fashionable colors are warm and delicate, with the same color often appearing in different tones.

The sense of touch

Following the trend of cozy and enveloping interiors, let’s pay attention to textures.
Apart from textured wood or wall coverings, this trend is also embraced by manufacturers of lounge furniture.
In 2024, trendy sofas and armchairs feature upholstery made of bouclé fabric, which is thick, soft, and has a distinct texture reminiscent of sheepskin.
Thick blankets, in light, subdued shades, are starting to cover sofas and beds.
This year, we’re decorating interiors that we can not only see but also feel.

Recharge with dopamine

The trend, aptly named Dopamine Decor, is very strong this year.
For those who feel constrained in subdued, white-gray, or cream-brown interiors, they can unleash their creativity and imagination in line with the latest trend.
Here, the focus is on individualism, artistry, and colors.
Artificial flowers, abstract paintings, or colorful lampshades will add dynamism and energy to our interiors.

Subtle luxury

Although colorful extravagance, fabrics, textures, and nature-inspired decorations are currently trending, the classic style, subtle luxury, and Scandinavian minimalism still reign in interiors and serve as the foundation in most homes.
This is also a trend that is universal, won’t quickly go out of style, and won’t become outdated in a year or two.
Over the past year, thanks to the series “Succession,” the style of “old money” or “quiet luxury” has been embraced not only in fashion but also in interior architecture.

Here are a few of the most important trends reigning in design in 2024.
Perhaps you’ll find inspiration in them and incorporate cork decorations, suede-textured wall paint, or a mirror with a colorful frame into your apartment.
But remember, the most important thing is for you to feel comfortable in your home.
Furnish it for yourself and your family so that you all look forward to returning to it every day, to relax and spend time together.
