  • Jazgarzewszczyzna – szczypta historii

    In the 17th century, the area around Jazgarzewszczyzna became the property of members of the Congregation of the Mission who arrived from France.
    In the 18th and 19th centuries, the settlement of Jazgarzewszczyzna was small, and by the end of the 19th century, it was practically uninhabited. Over time, it began to develop, and in the 1895 census, three residential buildings housing 34 people were already recorded in Jazgarzewszczyzna.
    In the 20th century, Jazgarzewszczyzna began to gain importance. In 1921, during the General Population Census, 7 houses and 58 inhabitants were recorded there.
    Today, over 800 people live in the village, which belongs to the relatively young Lesznowola commune.

    Jazgarzewszczyzna is situated in forested areas, making it an ideal place for nature lovers. In addition to numerous forest walking and cycling paths, the Jeziorka River is nearby, and the neighboring village of Żabieniec features a popular complex of ponds.
    Along the Jeziorka River, kayak trips of approximately 14 km are organized. They start near Szymon’s Hills Park, from where one paddles through numerous bridges (e.g., the old narrow-gauge railway bridge in Chylicach) all the way to Stara Papiernia in Konstancin Jeziorna, where there is a kayak marina.
    The Żabieniec Reservoir is a place for a full day of family relaxation. There are numerous ponds here, created as retention reservoirs for the surrounding localities. Within the Park, there are designated areas for bonfires and shelters for meals, piers, a swimming area, and fishing spots. This is where the Jeziorka kayak trip begins. You can also see the historic Jeziorka Weir and cross the top of the dam to the other side of the river. The weir impresses with its construction and attracts many walkers and cyclists.
