Osiedle Słoneczne is being developed in Sulejówek, a town famous for two villas where Józef Piłsudski once lived with his family, as well as a museum dedicated to his memory. The town has expanded around the railway tracks, much like ancient villages formed around river mouths.

Sulejówek is recognized as the city of Józef Piłsudski, with many symbols and references to the Marshal’s achievements in its coat of arms and anthem. The main tourist attractions in the city are the former villas where Piłsudski lived with his family—Miluśin Villa and Otradno Villa (“Drewniak”). Today, the area also houses the Józef Piłsudski Museum, a symbol of patriotism.
The first mention of Sulejówek as a small village called Sulewo with 57 inhabitants dates back to 1526. By the end of the 19th century, a railway line was established there, around which the city began to expand. Today, Sulejówek is home to over 21,000 residents.
The developing city of Sulejówek needed building materials, which is why a clay quarry was established on the site of today’s Glinianki Park. The clay was processed into bricks at a nearby factory. When the raw material reserves were exhausted, the area was flooded, creating a recreational space for residents.
Today, Glinianki Park covers 22 hectares and features a swimming area where you can paddleboard or kayak, a large playground, an outdoor gym, numerous walking paths, and specially designated covered barbecue spots. In 2022, a brine graduation tower was also added, along with several benches, allowing visitors to sit, relax, and breathe in the healthy, purified air during their strolls.
