Just 2 minutes by car from the estate, there is a lively main artery of the town - Aleja Marszałka Józefa Piłsudzkiego, with numerous service points, shops, boutiques and restaurants. It takes about a quarter of an hour to get there on foot. However, for everyday quick shopping, the residents of Manufaktura Marki can go to one of the nearby shops: Netto (3 minutes walk), Biedronka (4 minutes walk) or Żabka (9 minutes walk).
There are also numerous educational institutions in the area: nurseries, kindergartens and schools. One of them - primary school No. 4 is located in one of the two buildings of the modern Educational and Recreation Center of Marki (MCER), which has been awarded the international BREEAM ecological certificate.
Fans of active recreation and sports will surely be pleased with the extensive sports and recreational infrastructure. In MCER, in addition to the indoor swimming pool with a sports and recreational pool and a spa area with saunas, there is a large sports hall with a handball field, a climbing wall, a dance and fitness room and a martial arts room. Outside, there is a full-size football field (with 3rd league certification), a multi-functional field, as well as a space for athletics, a playground and a rope course for children, and a street training zone. There are also tennis clubs, stables, a skatepark and a pumptrack bike track in the area.
Do you prefer to spend time in nature? Go on a bike trip through the green surroundings! You can do this even without your own bike. The "Koło Marek" bicycle system operates in Marki, with a network of points where you can rent a city bike. The system is compatible with the Warsaw Veturilo. You can get on your bike in Marki, leave it in Warsaw and come back on one of the several bus lines that connect both cities. Marki are located in the first ticket zone and city residents pay for a ticket the same as Warsaw residents - the costs of traveling by trains and buses are therefore much lower. The nearest bus stop is only a 4-minute walk from the estate.
People who prefer travelling by car to traveling by public transport will also be satisfied with the choice of location. The nearby S8 expressway will allow you to reach the center of Warsaw in about 20 minutes.

The city of Marki is the perfect place for cycling enthusiasts. Marki offers 12 cycling paths, with more under construction. What's more, you don't even need to own your own bike to enjoy the charming routes! The city operates the KołoMarek bike-sharing system, which is compatible with Warsaw's Veturilo system. Veturilo users can use KołoMarek bikes, and KołoMarek users can use Veturilo bikes. The youngest cycling fans can hone their riding skills and knowledge of road rules at the cycling town on Wspólna Street.
At the end of the 19th century, a spinning factory was established in Marki - one of the largest and most modern for those times in Europe. The factory employed 1,100 people. The founders of the manufactory were two English industrialists - Edward and John Briggs, who soon after arriving in Marki lived in a specially built residence situated at a picturesque park. The English-style palace and park have survived to this day and are a tourist attraction of the town (the park has over a hundred-year-old oaks here, which have the status of natural monuments, as well as old poplars and maples). The Briggs brothers built, among others, in Marki a workers' housing estate, an elementary school and they supported the construction of the church of St. Isidore. It is thanks to the manufactory and Edward and John Briggs that the small town became an industrial center.
